I Fly

Intro: When you are meant to fly but the corporate world ties you down,
all you wish for is the opportunity to spread your wings and explore the vastness of the skies.

Confined to a chair all day,
stuck in the hullabaloo of the pursuit of a career,
I come home every evening and I spread my wings,
armed with the mighty pen
I spread my wings and I fly away.
Up in the clouds, over the city, I look dwn at the beautiful dark bay.
It invites me to stop by and talk about my day,
Oh! How I would like to swoop down but I am pulled back up by the clouds.
The winds murmur a sweet song in my ears that sweeter than any symphony sounds.
I then fly over the bright city lights that drive away the darkness.
All through the night, I continue my flight.
Dawn breaks and the birds join me in the skies,
they tweet a sweet hello and sent me their goodbyes.
I then write about how the golden sun rises above the vast blue seas,
to be alive and kicking is such a beautiful gift.
Sometimes, to fly all you need is your mind.
